Aeolians Yacht Club
Aeolians Yacht Club (AYC) is a Northvaal sailing club on the eastern shore of the Vaal Dam's North Bay, in the Gauteng Province of South Africa.
Aeolians Yacht Club caters for all keelboat and dinghy classes.
From Johannesburg, Aeolians Yacht Club can be reached via the N3 highway, leading to Heidelberg. At Heidelberg, take the Vaal Dam road (R549), which will bring you to the Vereeniging/Villiers road (R54) intersection, where you should turn left towards Villiers. After approx. 5 km, look out for the (small) Aeolians Yacht Club sign on your right (before the Stilbaai turnoff).
A gravel road takes you to the club (take any unmarked forks to the left!).
The Aeolians club house offers a bar and galley services for regattas and organised weekends. The ablution facilities can handle upto 100 boats. There are overnight camping and caravan facilities, as well as a slip way for keelboats.
Aeolians Yacht Club is a popular venue for keelboat and international class dinghy sailing. Provincial and National Championships may be hosted by Aeolians Yacht Club.
