A 'keelboat' is a keeled sailboat with an open cockpit and no accommodation. Keelboats are popular racing sailboats, used for short inshore or daytime offshore races.

Boats built for navigating rivers, typically controlled with oars or poles, are also known as keelboats.

"keelboat" is a noun.

Dinghy Dan is the vessels man. He looks after the "Vessels" category of Yachtless.com.

Dan is on a mission to give us as much information about various types of sailing vessels and other watercraft as possible. He lifts skirts wherever he goes and hurries back here to tell us all about what he saw.

Boats, boards and buckets galore!
